Youth leaders from Play for Peace Clubs plan, organize and facilitate cooperative play during Play Days. The activities they lead;
-are cooperative, creative, educational and engaging
-teach respect, tolerance, problem-solving, communication and teamwork
-do not have winners or losers
-champion and cherish diverse abilities and ideas
-include children from diverse backgrounds whenever possible
The result? Through the younger children's participation in Play for Peace experiences, their brains develop in ways that reduce their fear of people who are different from themselves.
