Bringing together a Chicago-land community through smiles and laughter

There were smiles on everyone's faces as they worked together and supported each other.  Additionally, our community was very pleased that your trainers could speak to them in their native language! Thank you Play for Peace for helping us build our community in such a fun and rewarding way!

A coordinated team of staff and administration at the Madison Elementary School in Lombard, Illinois invited Play for Peace to join their Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee event held on April 30th. Dedicated to creating a strong sense of community among staff and parents, they also wanted their students to experience cooperative play. School staff went the "extra mile" in making sure that Spanish-speaking parents felt included in their school community by holding this event.
The students, families, and staff members who attended the Play for Peace event at our school had a wonderful time.  ~ Maria, Bilingual Facilitator
Over 50 children, parents and staff crossed language and cultural divides to play and laugh together. Thank you to Chaun, Richard, Langston and Carlos for facilitating the event!
