Clinton High School Play for Peace Club Visits Illinois State University

As part of our day, we were able to hear from a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. She played Play for Peace games with the students and shared a new game with us as well. It was a great day!

Campus visits are one of the most important steps students taken when considering attending college, and exploring a university. The Central Illinois Area Health Education Center hosted a campus visit for students as part of the Play for Peace Club at Clinton High School on March 30th, 2015. The visit introduced students to Illinois State University’s campus and programs. Students were given the opportunity to meet with current health-related undergraduate students to get the feel for some of the opportunities here on campus. Students engaged with a Returned Peace Corp Volunteer and were able to envision how Play for Peace relates to programs and clubs on campus. The visit prepared students to take the right steps towards exploring and applying to college. - Written by Khrystin Shepard
