How Your Support Helps Play for Peace

When you support us, you help support our trainers, mentors, youth leaders, and children who participate in our Play for Peace Clubs around the world.

At this time of year, we are actively promoting our largest fundraising event, the World Peace Day Fall Run/Walk. When you support us, regardless of the time of year, you help support our trainers, mentors, youth leaders, and children who participate in our Play for Peace Clubs around the world. You help Play for Peace Global provide clubs with supplies, training, and experiences that help fill more communities marked by conflict with more laughter, compassion, and peace!

Here is how your dollars make a difference: Raising $50 can: Fund one youth exchange between two global Play for Peace Clubs to meet online to connect and share resources, inspiration, and ideas. Fund one Play for Peace banner to help youth leaders increase their peacebuilder pride and local visibility for their community service work. Fund 10-25 Play for Peace patches, enough for one per youth in a Play for Peace Club. This is an inclusive alternative to t-shirts, which are uncomfortable to use over traditional dress and can be attached to any clothing, hats, or scarves.

Raising $100 can: Fund one Compassion Games Community Activity led by our youth and mentors locally around the world. The funds are typically used to cover the costs of student transportation, snacks for children, and educational materials to run the activity. Fund one digital camera for our youth leaders to increase the global visibility of their community service work, allowing their stories to be told with words and images. Fund one Play for Peace backpack filled with educational booklets, balls, rope, and more, so our youth leaders can lead Practice Peace Sessions with children in their communities.

Raising $500 can: Fund one Practice Peace Session to bring together children and youth through play and volunteer service from communities with marked conflict and ethnic, cultural, or religious differences. The funds are typically used to cover costs of student transportation, snacks for children, and educational materials to run the activities.

Raising $1,000 can: Fund all support services for one Play for Peace Club for a year, helping us provide ongoing training, mentoring, and educational services to the youth leaders and mentors.

Raising $5,000 - $10,000 can: Fund the formation of a new Play for Peace Club in a divided neighborhood in the U.S., or in an area of conflict or tragedy around the world. New Play for Peace Club development includes in-depth training of youth, local mentors, and partners; orientation to the Play for Peace community; educational curriculum; materials; and programs.
