March 20: International Day of Happiness

On Monday, March 20, the world celebrated the International Day of Happiness. Happiness Day, as it is also known, was created in 2012 when UN resolution 66/281 was adopted by consensus of all 193 member states of the United Nations. Happiness Day manages a set of programs, initiatives, and the collectivity of “Happiness Day” assets including print, digital, intellectual, physical, and financial with the singular objective of achieving its mission and serving the public good. Play for Peace is dedicated to bringing happiness and hope to children and youth all over the world. Blog Team member Fernando Martinez created a short video to showcase some of the smiles Play for Peace has inspired around the world.
