#ThankyouTuesdays: Smokin' Pit BBQ

I love being a part of a community. Not everyone has opportunities, not everyone has as much as me, so I would like to give a helping hand.

As you pass Route 59 and Stearns Crossing, you will notice a new barbecue place. If you haven't stopped by yet, you're missing out! Owned by Nico Scardino and Niko Prittis, Smokin’ Pit BBQ specializes in authentic barbecue using carefully selected “live” hickory in wood burning smokers. "Our family has been smoking BBQ for 50 years, so we know that great BBQ starts with top-quality ingredients, distinctive homemade recipes and a time-honored process. We take great care in all the little details, from using the perfect amount of hickory for just the right smoke to adding just the right amount of herbs and spices in our sauces and sides." Participants coming to the Walk for Peace will have a taste of their barbecue, as Smokin' Pit is taking part of the International Food Fest at the Walk for Peace. We asked Nico why he is supporting the Walk for Peace. "I love being a part of a community. Not everyone has opportunities, not everyone has as much as me, so I would like to give a helping hand." He also says, "Peace is important, it's a way of life. It means being stress-free." 20150813_143504 20150813_142855 20150813_14343920150813_142905
