Today is World Peace Day! Today, people around the world are celebrating the International Day of Peace, designated by the United Nations for the annual celebration on September 21.
World Peace Day Celebrations have already begun in our Play for Peace Clubs around the world. This year, we have more than 14 Clubs in eleven countries sign on to participate in the Global Unity Games and to host World Peace Day Celebrations. We’ve already begun to receive reports around the world…just yesterday, we received a report from Nepal about their celebration! (More about this in a future blog post…) We are getting ready for our World Peace Day Fall Run/Walk in Bartlett, IL, USA, this Saturday, September 24, at the Bartlett Nature Center. It’s our first-ever 5k run, coupled with our fun 1k nature walk -- featuring a Bubble Run, treasure hunt, and foam pit at the end -- all taking place on scenic trails. There is still time to join us to celebrate World Peace Day, and to welcome in the Fall season.
Bring your running or walking shoes, as well as your appetite, because the International Food Festival is shaping up to be a great culinary tour around the world!
