Community Spotlight: Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion

I was very impressed with CSEI when I visited India. Their dedication, professionalism and deep understanding of the complexity of promoting true inclusion in their community is admirable. They use an integral approach of grassroots and high level political activism, academic research and effective fieldwork. We are honored to have CSEI as one of our Partners for Peace.

Sarah Gough, Executive Director, Play for Peace Play for Peace has collaborated with the Center for Social Equity and Inclusion (CSEI) in Patna and Delhi since 2012. Play for Peace has become an integral part of CSEI by training under-served youth to cultivate leadership skills. CSEI promotes equity and inclusion and fights marginalization among discriminated groups such as Dalits, Adivasis, Muslims and other socially excluded communities. With the help of Play for Peace and the CSEI, Dalit youth have been conducting regular Practice Peace Sessions in different inner-cities, districts,  villages and government schools in Patna and Delhi, India.
