Happy Birthday to Imroz Shah!

Birthdays are a special time to remember those we love, and today we get to wish a very Happy Birthday to Imroz Shah! Many of you know Imroz as Play for Peace’s Global Operations Manager, and in that capacity, she supports the entire Play for Peace community, working alongside our Executive Director, Sarah Gough. Some of you may not be aware of her history with Play for Peace. Imroz started as a youth leader in India, and later became a trainer, traveling around India sharing Play for Peace with children and other young leaders like herself. Since she first began working with us fifteen years ago, Imroz has traveled all over the world to help share Play for Peace with new communities and volunteers. When she came to the U.S., Imroz began working as an intern in the Play for Peace Global Office with Sarah, and in a short time, she became Global Operations Manager.

Imroz loves serving in her role now, which allows her to connect with Play for Peace Clubs and volunteers all over the world. Reflecting on her relationship with Imroz, Sarah said, "I'm so lucky to be working with someone who inspires and teaches me as well as supports thousands of Play for Peacers around the world! Imroz is not just staff, she is proof of the power of Play for Peace as well as someone I have seen who embodies our core values." Her birthday allows us to celebrate Imroz and say thank you for all she brings to the Play for Peace Global Learning Community. Please join us in wishing her a very happy birthday!
