This was a great start! We hope to continue to work with Streamwood in the coming year.
We were thrilled this Spring to work at Streamwood High School leading Practice Peace Sessions weekly with students from the Academic Seminar Program. Streamwood is a school with a diverse student body nearby our annual
Walk for Peace event in Barlett, Illinois, United States. Play for Peace Trainers
Chaun Pridgeon and
John Guarrine (seen above) used Play for Peace to increase cooperation, inclusion, caring and fun in the classroom.
The students were very engaged in the Practice Peace Sessions that helped bring students together from different backgrounds. When asked about the impact of Play for Peace on them, students said that they were now getting in less trouble than before and were more willing to go to class. They enjoyed the end of the year Play for Peace Celebration. This was a great start! We hope to continue to work with Streamwood in the coming year.
