Team Spotlight! Sajjad Sikandar, Content Crew

Now through June, Play for Peace is partnering with the experiential learning app Kikori to develop a one-stop shop for activity plans -- a project powered by an international group of volunteers dubbed the Content Crew. Meet one of the team members whose time and talents are bringing high-quality activities to facilitators around the world.

Sajjad Sikandar of Abbottabad, Pakistan

Profession: Advocate, DRM/DRR Consultant/ LLB, M.A English Literature

What do you do on the Content Crew? “I edit activities that are being added to the app and join the Content Crew meetings every week.”

What's your favorite Kikorified activity so far, and why? “The activity that was assigned to me that prepares students for disasters called Batten Down the Hatches was the most interesting for me.”

If you had a blank check to do one thing to bring peace to your community (however you define community), what would you do? “In my part of the world, activities that teach and focus on peace can be used in various ways. For example, while I do some assignments on DRR/DRM/ Capacity building programmes, awareness raising sessions with school college university students on Human Rights, Law or other fields. They could be used alike with the marginalized communities, litigants, participants of a training, communities living in far flung areas of the country who are less aware, less educated etc.”
