“Every day I think about all the kids I can help and it’s the best feeling in the world knowing that I’ve helped them.”
When Aidan was just in kindergarten, he was asked what he would do with $100. He responded that he would donate to his Mom’s work for peace. It was at this time that he also came up with an idea to have a Walk for Peace to raise money for Play for Peace kids in need. The first event was held in 2013 where he walked a full 5K at only 6 years old. Now, 6 years later, he is running the 5K for the 3rd time and training to do so under 30 minutes.
Aidan is currently a 6th grade student at Sycamore Trails Elementary School in Bartlett, IL and is also a Boy Scout in local Troop 99. He received his Messenger of Peace badge from Boy Scouts for his charitable efforts, the only badge that can be worn as a crest on his uniform. He is proud to be an Ambassador of Peace for Play for Peace and says, “Every day I think about all the kids I can help and it’s the best feeling in the world knowing that I’ve helped them.” He asks everyone to join him on Saturday, 9/29/18 for the Fall 5K Run/Walk in Bartlett and has also set up an option for people to do a virtual 5K with him no matter where they are in the world: https://my.playforpeace.org/Fall5K
