Myanmar: Afternoon of Fun in Shwebo

But as in many other sessions, while many children were reluctant at first, they quickly warmed up to the activities once they got started.

  After a successful morning of learning some Play for Peace games and techniques, Play for Peace master trainers Swati Bhatt and Agyat Shunya worked with the various teachers in Shwebo to conduct their own Play for Peace sessions with local children. The children were divided into three groups of different age groups. For nearly 3 hours, the new Play for Peace facilitators kept the children engaged and helped them work through the challenges that were presented to them. The children loved it! For the new facilitators, it was exhausting but they applied themselves completely. Reflecting on the session, the teachers acknowledged the challenges of hosting a Play for Peace session since it was sometimes hard to organize the children and they had to use their voices a lot.
