Meet Danielle Dery of Virginia, USA. She uploads activities into the Kikori app after they've been transcribed by other members of the crew, and edits activities that others uploaded into Kikori.

Meet Shruthi Mohandas of Minneapolis, Project Manager Consultant for the Content Crew. She assign activities to the United Nations Volunteers and supports them if they face any roadblocks. She keep track of the progress of the project and also facilitates weekly meetings with Play for Peace, UNV and Kikori Volunteers.

Every parent wants their children to grow up to be happy and prosperous adults. We also want our kids to be thankful for what they’ve been given, and to know how to feel and express gratitude. In this regard, it is important to impart a giving spirit in kids while they are young so that they’ll grow up to be generous with themselves and selfless to those around them. Here are some ways to teach your kids how to give.

Meet Annie Tasker of Chicago, Illinois whose time and talents are bringing high-quality activities to facilitators around the world. She's a project manager with Prudential Financial's inclusion & diversity unit and at the very end of the content creation process on this project, giving activities a final review before hitting ‘publish.’ She also pulls together profile information for these volunteer spotlights!

Uwayo is a proofreader and content writer with Play for Peace’s Kikori Content Crew. Over the course of his 12-year career, Uwayo has served as a translator, and as a communications and business consultant -- skills he also brings to his volunteer role with the United Nations.

Now through June, Play for Peace is partnering with the experiential learning app Kikori to develop a one-stop shop for activity plans. Meet Joel Alexander, one crew volunteer whose time and talents are bringing high-quality activities to facilitators around the world.

Play for Peace(R) is a process of creating inclusive experiences using cooperative activities with care and fun. When young people experience Play for Peace consistently it helps them grow. In over 20 years of sharing Play for Peace with young people we have seen young people transform their life, individually and collectively.

After 2 years of continual lockdowns, Play for Peace was finally able to travel back to El Salvador for a club reactivation session.

The importance of helping youths in conflict zones has become more important than ever. The current crisis between Ukraine and Russia has left the children of Ukraine both physically and mentally scarred. 
 

Now through July 2022, Play for Peace is partnering with the experiential learning app Kikori to adapt and publish 250 activity plans, providing a one-stop mobile resource for group facilitators around the world. 

"The Play for Peace Senegal team gathers all of the children after school so that they do not wander the streets. They put them in an environment where children are motivated and inspired to do their best."

During this pandemic #teachers around the globe have been on the front lines of trying to keep our children physically and emotionally safe.

What does it mean to live a more sustainable life? For trainer Neelu Grover it means zero waste and  living a plastic and chemical free life. After reading about toxic chemicals in the products we use and the effects on global warming, she decided to make some major changes.

Last month Play for Peace celebrated International Women’s Day, a day that honors the achievements of women around the world. Within Play for Peace, there are many amazing and admirable women who work tirelessly as peace builders, including Teresa Raguay or Seno Tere, a teacher and youth coordinator for one of our clubs in Guatemala. We sat down with Teresa to learn about how her work helps women in her community.

Last month, Play for Peace celebrated the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week, joining a global effort to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence, as well as harmony between all people, regardless of faith. Throughout the week, our clubs had the opportunity to demonstrate and experience the richness of our diversity and show compassion for others.

When it comes to work, most of us tend to be highly strategic and thorough in our approach. But when it comes to leisure time, we don't often handle things the same way. In reality, we should place just as much importance on our passions, each of us appreciating our own unique individuality and sources of pleasure.
